FIGURE SKATING
Skills, Tests, Achievement, Recognition – this is what STARSKATE is all about!
The mainstay of Canadian figure skating for over 40 years, STARSKATE offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills: ice dance, skating skills, free skating, artistic skating. This program offers group and private lesson format, teaching figure skating skills in a progressive and sequential manner.
IntroSTAR
IntroSTAR is an accelerated group lesson program for identified skaters in Canskate, STAGES 1-4. Skater must be recommended to this program by a professional coach. 1-2x/week commitment including Off-ice Class on registered day. Skaters have the option to join additional Off-Ice Classes on the day they do not skate for an additional fee. Lessons are taught by a Skate Canada Professional coach in a small group setting of 3-5 skaters. All lesson fees are paid separately to the admin coach. Ice fees are paid separately to the club.
Mondays: 5:10-6:40pm
Saturdays: 10:40am-12:10pm
STAR 1-2
A figure skating program focused on tests. Competition is optional but encouraged. 2-3x/week commitment including Off-ice Class on registered days. Skaters have the option to join additional Off-Ice Classes on days they do not skate, for an additional fee. Skaters must have passed the complete STAGE 4 Canskate badge. Skaters must retain a private lesson Professional Club Coach of their choice for private/semi-private or small group lessons. Lesson payments to your Professional Club Coach are not included in the ice fees.
Mondays: 6:00-7:40pm
Wednesdays: 6:30-8:30pm
Fridays: 4:40-6:10pm
STAR 3
An advanced figure skating program focused on tests and competition. 3-4x/week commitment, including off-ice classes on registered days. Skaters have the option to join additional Off-Ice Classes on days they do not skate, for an additional fee. Skaters must have passed 3 out of 3 Skate Canada STAR 2 Tests. (Skills/dance/Freeskate). Skaters must retain a private lesson Professional Club Coach.

Wednesdays: 6:30-8:30pm
Fridays: 3:40-5:10pm
Saturdays: 9:40-12:00pm
RecSTAR
A recreational figure skating group lesson program focused on fun and skill achievement. 1x/week commitment. Skaters must have passed the complete STAGE 4 Canskate badge. Group lessons are taught by an assigned Professional Club Coach on a STAR session. Group lessons are included in ice fees.
Wednesdays: 6:30-7:50pm
STAR 4-Gold
An advanced figure skating program focused on tests and competition. 3-4x/week commitment including off-ice classes on registered days. Skaters have the option to join additional Off-Ice Classes on days they do not skate, for an additional fee. Skaters must have passed 3 out of 3 Skate Canada Star 3 Tests (Skills/dance/Freeskate). Skaters must retain a private lesson Professional Club Coach.

AdultSTAR
Do you miss skating? We know that many former skaters do. Adult Starskate is a 60 minute group program where you can work independently or get feedback from a Professional Coach. You may also hire a Professional coach for private lessons if you want to pursue Skate Canada Tests, Competition or just have more coaching than the group session provides. Adult Starskaters that want more ice time may also register for the appropriate level in our regular Starskate program.
